Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional with experience and a knack for problem-solving to join a growing firm in the Manufacturing industry. In this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the South Holland, Illinois area.Key responsibilities- Represent and exude the values, culture, and mission of the organization- Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers- Complete a wide range of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks- Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders- Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAP- Assist in setting up payment plans; contact clients to help resolve payment issues- Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers- Verify codes and documents
